Commercial Manager (ID: 1877)






? To start up a trading office in Hong Kong with a focus on exports to China and Hong Kong,
? Build a solid export market by doing prospection in the assigned territories,
? Define target customers: importers/distributors, meat processing plants (processing cold cuts, convenience, canned meat, dumplings,…),
? Engage and build trust with key accounts,
? Market and sell frozen meat/poultry/MSM into Hong Kong and China,
? Be responsible for administrational handling of your orders (Commercial Instructions initially and later on Proforma Invoice, Purchase Order into the ERP system),
? Report to the GM in Singapore on a weekly base by making a market report and a sales report,
? Prepare individual sales meetings every 3 months and have face-to-face meetings with your GM,
? Build a team to deliver the above such as:
o Administrative support/secretary/shipping back office in the mid-term,
o Build a commercial team with additional sales persons and accountant on the long-term,
? Actively participate in exhibitions for meat & food, manufacturing equipment and others,
? Plan and undertake business trips on a regular basis to meet customers/prospects in person
? Scan for opportunities in the market and transmit to your GM and HQ,
? Communicate important market information and tendencies in Asia to your GM.


? A Master’s degree or you have a bachelor degree with knowledge through experience,
? You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the meat industry or supply to the meat processing industry (for example additives, spices, fibers, casings or other),
? You have experience in trading frozen food with a preference for poultry meat. Buying and selling frozen meat has become a common practice to you by experience,
? Fluency in speaking, writing and reading English and Mandarin
? You are a sharp, intelligent and responsible person, you are a good communicator,
? Open to work in/with European style culture and business approach, you have an international mindset,
? Open and transparent communications
? Leading management skills but you are also very hands on,
? Analytical mindset and you know how to interpret numbers,
? You are well organized and you are structured in your daily planning
? You have a strong network of customers and/or suppliers,
? You are a convincing advisor to your customer, you are able to convince them when to buy what,
